The Competition

Tradition in Motion.

Folk dance carries history through movement, music, costume and community. EFDC brings those traditions together on one Calgary stage, creating space for European communities to share the cultural practices they continue to teach and preserve.

The 2026 event marks the third annual European Folk Dance Competition presented through ECSC’s cultural programming.
