 Balada Winnipeg Dance 

 

Balada Dance Team Winnipeg is a devoted group of dancers who showcase Romania’s heritage through traditional dances and songs. The majority of dancers are of a Romanian background including many first and second generation Canadian dancers. Every summer, Balada participates in a week long festival – Folklorama, which is the largest and longest running multicultural festival of its kind hosted in Winnipeg. The group has participated in many different cultural events in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The group also competed in the Inaugural European Folk Dance Competition. Their goal is to keep Romanian culture and traditional alive through dance and song for many generations to come.
