Azeri Calgary Stars Dance Group

Since 2014, the Azeri Calgary Stars Dance Group has proudly represented Azerbaijan in Calgary and beyond. They have performed at notable venues, including Parliament in Ottawa, Disneyland in California, and various events throughout Calgary, Canmore, and local retirement homes.

For over three years, each dancer has participated in regular online classes to master the technical aspects of Azerbaijani dances, learning from choreographer Lala Aslanova, a graduate of a prestigious academy in Baku and a multiple award winner in modern and classical dance.

During summer and vacation breaks, the dancers travel to Azerbaijan to further enhance their skills. They also meet frequently to integrate their training into group performances and assist younger dancers.
